To be honest, we didn’t want to do a play, we just wanted to dance around and go crazy. We could have made other decisions, been different people, and worked on something else, but we liked it too much. So much so that we crossed the threshold of knowing whether we have wasted our time or whether what we are doing is actually worth something... Hearts, desires, rubber bands, pain, smoke, techno, gunshots, nightlife, and malice. PERDÓN (sorry) is a declaration of love and hate for dance. It is a play that explores the boundaries: of artistic creation; of dancing; of the actor’s freedom on stage and their relationship with the audience; of discomfort and also of elastic bands. We see such boundaries as offering the possibility of an artistic manifesto or functioning as a privileged space for wonder and provocation, where what is beautiful can become grotesque or a demonstration of vulnerability. Without victimhood or moralism, without opinions on what is good, bad, beautiful, or boring, we lay our hearts on the table and say: This is who we are: this is proof that you can dance with an ‘s’, with humour and spelling mistakes. (And if this is another synopsis that makes no sense to you, we are sorry).
