The Regroupement de Pairs des Arts Indépendants de Recherche et d’Expérimentation (REPAIRE), in collaboration with the Conseil des arts de Montréal and La Chapelle Scènes Contemporaines, is pleased to unveil its call for applications for two residencies in non-disciplinary artistic practices for the year 2026-2027.

Who is eligible to apply?

Collectives and organizations operating in the field of interdisciplinary arts practices and who offer works in performance spaces or In Situ.

What are the program objectives?

This program aims to:

  • Allow two professional arts collectives or organizations to pursue the research or creation stages of a work under optimal financial and technical conditions;
  • Improve the conditions of practice and professional development of artists, artists’ collectives and arts organizations in non-disciplinary artistic practices (formerly new artistic practices) and interdisciplinary arts practices;
  • Promote skills transfer among professionals in the sector

What type of assistance is provided?

Two separate residency projects will be supported:

  1. Residency project at La Chapelle Scènes Contemporaines

The 90-hour residency is divided as follows:

  • 70 hours at La Chapelle Scènes Contemporaines
  • 20 hours in the Conseil des arts de Montréal studios

It includes:

  • A creation grant of up to $15,000 texte grasA support from REPAIRE
  • A one-year membership of the group, subject to the criteria of the REPAIRE membership policy
  • A training course from REPAIRE’s annual training program
  1. Residency In Situ, at a location decided by the collective or organization

The 90-hour residency is divided as follows:

  • 70 hours in the In Situ space chosen by the collective or organization
  • 20 hours in the Conseil des arts de Montréal studios

It includes:

  • A creation grant of up to $15,000 support from REPAIRE
  • A one-year membership of the group, subject to the criteria of the REPAIRE membership policy
  • A training course from REPAIRE’s annual training program

What is the period for the residency?

May 1, 2026 to November 30, 2026

What are the services offered?

Conseil des arts de Montréal

  • 20 hours of free access to the Conseil des arts de Montréal’s studios.

La Chapelle Scènes Contemporaines

  • Access to a performance space, technical equipment and services from a technical manager, up to 70 hours
  • Basic logistical and technical support during a performance space residency
  • Internet access
  • On-site hosting and discussions with the team

REPAIRE

  • Guidance, support and training services
