Musiques Nouvelles - Suoni Italiani

Whether it involves information or contagion, transmission means passing something from one person to another. Here, Transmission introduces an entirely new kind of messenger: a sextet of seasoned musicians devoted to modern music in the heart of the postmodern era. These six remarkable adventurers come together to perform twentieth-century chamber music—and music from the day after tomorrow... Do Italians do anything other than opera? The program features instrumental works by, among others, Sciarrino, Berio, and Scelsi, as well as a new work by Magnanensi, composed especially for Transmission.
