At the end of Route 309, after the stretch of fir trees, somewhere between the strip club and the boat landing, the poetic universe of Marjolaine Beauchamp comes alive. Here emerges the doubled voice of women in distress, the melodic rhythms of a mythological region, the theatrical slam of four-wheelers tearing through gravel. Marjolaine Beauchamp scratches with her bare hands at the open wound in the earth of these regions we would rather forget. To the sound of musicians Olivier Fairfield and Pierre-Luc Clément, Micheline Marin and Marjolaine Beauchamp paint the inner tragedy of a woman and her double, searching for poetry through cigarette smoke and the dust of dirt roads. Pierre Antoine Lafon Simard creates a production in which words, sawn off like the barrels of a .22-caliber rifle, strip-tease the anguish of a blues far removed from the metropolis.
