During two unforgettable evenings at the Théâtre du Gesù with violinist Jesse Zubot and percussionist Jean Martin, Tanya Tagaq lays bare her “Arctic” subconscious. Following a resounding success, sold-out shows, and explosive audience reactions, we are delighted to present, for a second consecutive season, the Tanya Tagaq Trio experience. From the very first notes, Tanya Tagaq’s authentic music proves that she is an artist with a truly unique style. With great individuality, she reclaims the throat singing of her Inuit culture while also drawing from jazz, electronic music, and hip hop, without the listener being able to isolate the individual elements of this musical hybridity.
