Act 1: Between 6:30pm and 8pm, visit at the time of your choice, the universe of Double Fantasy where Nien Tzu and Camille exhibit their performative structures.
Act 2: 8pm The performance begins! 'The journey continues!'
On stage, Double Fantasy activates different scenic devices that explore the idea of gravity and its direct impact on choreography, inter-body relations and object manipulation; the performance is constructed in different acts in which an absurd atmosphere tinges the actions of the performers, while their intentions seem to be constantly interrupted and disjointed.
The performers share a complicity with the place, the objects, the scenography and the public. Combining their respective practices, Weng and Lacelle-Wilsey explore themes of impossibility, surprise, and tension in order to juggle errors and emphasize the emergence of impromptu events. At the heart of the project is the sharing of the vulnerability that emerges from this circus performance and linking it to somatic, performative and plastic elements in a single transdisciplinary process.
Double Fantasy likes to define its practice as experimental circus, linking the ideas of physical performance with those of complex or impossible tasks, or even complete absurdity. At the heart of this discipline, Nien Tzu Weng and Camille Lacelle-Wilsey become "soft clowns": complicit, misunderstood and sometimes intrusive characters who, despite their illogical gestures and misunderstandings, remain welcoming and amusing.
