“Ply” from plywood, “Ball” from ball. Plyball is a made-up sport, but it is also a social laboratory where we explore the life and death of institutions. Does playing a sport really require a referee? Similarly, are the norms of social institutions adequate and adaptable enough to govern the effervescence of human activity? With this social and political issue at stake, Plyball explores our relationship to Justice and History in the form of a theatrical sport where spectators and actors are called upon to play.
