A love torn away, a crisis, the challenge of monsters and the rhythms of an elevation. There will be only one chorus and a woman. One for her, against her, in her. It is to an adventure agains drowning that we are invited. This epic play - conducted by 12 performers on stage - where bodies connect, transform and proliferate, is rooted in ancient cosmogonies, ancestors of our great founding myths, to draw parallels between an intimate and collective reconstruction. We witness the manifestation of our tensions and the confrontations of our inner multiplicity; as much in an autopsy of our dislocated depths as in a supernatural unfolding altered by the elixir of the gods. After Le temps des fruits, this is a second fertile collaboration between Marilyn Daoust and Gabriel Léger-Savard.
Together, Marilyn Daoust and Gabriel Léger-Savard articulate a powerful collective experience, a force that only the performing arts can provoke. By the shape as much as the content, their creations grasp the tragedies of our time.
