How To Fail As A Popstar

Public performances are cancelled. The easing of sanitary measures came after our decision to cancel the performances and the organization of such an event requires a lot of planning in advance.    However, the tour of this play continues. About this creation Illuminating, raw, honest and hopeful, this debut theatrical work chronicles Vivek’s journey to “not quite” pop music superstardom. A reflection on the power of pop culture, dreams, disappointments, and self-determination, this astonishing performance is a triumph in finding one’s authentic voice. Presented as part of the Queer Performance Camp, in partnership with the Studio 303 and MAI. The Queer Performance Camp (QPC) will have a new format this year given the current circumstances. Unfortunately, La Chapelle Scènes Contemporaines will not have the pleasure of hosting Vivek Shraya and her creation How To Fail As a Popstar. The three partners, MAI, Studio 303 and La Chapelle have modified their program in order to deploy certain projects and exhibitions to build the community and support the development of Queer artists. Here's an overview.
