Hamlet-Machine

Humanity is being crushed by blind progress, unbridled advancement, and decadent, grotesque and dangerous powers. We see the commodification and branding of our freedoms and convictions. All this resonates very powerfully in Müller's Hamlet-Machine. Pelletier’s is a living theatre that borrows from from performance codes where language becomes an intellectual superfluity of rage, yearning and disbelief.
Hamlet-Machine is presented free of charge on September 9 as part of the opening event of the four seasons 17-18 of La Chapelle Scènes Contemporaines! From 6pm, La Chapelle will open its doors for a drink and a bite, and to meet informally with the artists to discuss the projects that will shape the four seasons. Then at 8pm, Jocelyn Pelletier, surrounded by graduates of the National Theatre School, presents Hamlet-Machine, according to the text of Heiner Müller. After the show, Jocelyn Pelletier will be our DJ for a party to celebrate the opening of this great year of discoveries!
6pm → Cocktail with the artists, the public and the staff
8pm → Hamlet-Machine
Starting at 9:30pm → Opening Party
