Impromptu pairings, fleeting encounters: these two evenings of new music echo the outstanding Toronto–Montreal collaboration we had the pleasure of bringing about last year with The Music Gallery. This time, six exceptional musicians from several Canadian cities will gather under our roof for a week to present a performance that emphasizes improvisation and open-form compositions. Join us for the launch of the 2007–2008 edition of this nomadic project\! After Montreal, the ensemble will embark on a tour of our collaborators’ venues in Halifax, Toronto, Vancouver, and Victoria.
