The show En attendant Œdipe was premiered at La Chapelle Scènes Contemporaines from March 17 to 22, 2022. All 5 performances were sold out. En attendant Œdipe was born from the desire to enter the stage to question Sophocles' tragedy. First as a director, then as a stage director, I always dreamed of breaking the fourth wall to meet some characters that have been living within me for a long time. For the first time on the stage in 2022, I choose to confront this mysterious character and his complex which changed our vision of the human being: Oedipus the King! En attendant Œdipe is a solo of more or less one hour, depending on the wishes of the Oracles. The performance takes place before a seated audience. The performance will involve lively times, fixed times, and some almost dead times. It will be about Oedipus, his father, his mother, teaching, Freud, gender, politics, detective stories, make-up and a look in the silence. There will be improvisation, mime and clowning!
