En attendant Œdipe is a solo performance that blends clowning, mime, and acting with improvisation to revisit Sophocles’ Oedipus Rex. In an approach where the fourth wall no longer exists, where the audience is engaged and even becomes part of the staging, the show promises to challenge everything we know about the myth that shaped modern psychology! Somewhere between a mythology lecture and a dramatic performance, the show is both entertaining, through the impulses of the clown, and genuinely tragic, through the portrayal of the King of Thebes (in joual) as he faces his fate. The performance lasts approximately one hour, depending on the will of the «theatre gods.»
