DEUX is Made in Québec!
DEUX picks up where UN left off.
DEUX tells the story of an encounter between two human beings: the one the audience met in UN, Mani Soleymanlou, an Iranian exiled in Canada of Muslim heritage who has lived in Paris, Toronto, and Ottawa, and a second individual, a Montreal native with an English-speaking Jewish father and a French-speaking Christian mother, Emmanuel Schwartz.
DEUX tells the story of two citizens of the same city, the same province, the same country, who, despite their very different pasts, now face the same questions of identity.
This show completes, deepens, blurs, revisits, or even cancels everything that was explored in UN. It shows how the presence of an Other can sometimes make things more complex.
