Children of lead from the Notre-Dame neighborhood in Abitibi, the duo Geneviève Mathieu has been navigating the vicissitudes of an artist’s life and the fruits of creation for a quarter of a century. Mixing music, poetry, and visual arts, these uninhibited troubadours of experimental art offer baroque performances where improvisation, storytelling, opera, and melody are acts of faith.
