CATAPULTE

CATAPULTE, a gizmo somewhere between performance and installation. First design the thing and then build it. A few bits of wood put together will suffice. Once the thing is built, one only has to arm and launch. When we arm and launch, it appears very quickly that we are faced with something familiar. Something that looks like us. A giant arc generating a great propulsing force. A force produced by the spring bolt. A heart held inside a spoon, with the catapult’s arm ready to shoot. Billions of us are living this way, every day, all around the globe. Catapulted and unaware.
