This is an essay on the relationship between politics and art set against a backdrop of contemporary satire: a witty and flamboyant critique inspired by the media success of cooking shows. Parodying the very mechanisms it denounces to address the impact of commercial logic on the content of artworks, the shift toward sensationalist forms is thoroughly baked into it, the marketing of provocation is thrown into the mix, and the exaggerated cult of originality is topped with a sweet, appetizingly colored frosting.
