BLACK MOON is an installation-performance about the collapse of space and time within an intimate moment. At once, we find ourselves navigating intimacy within various spaces–the Black church of our ancestors, a praxis of home, and the architecture of our own bodies–relying solely on sensation as our true sense of direction. As we negotiate our own love for each other, we must continuously compensate for and recombine the outside world within the boundaries of our relationship. Our love embraces fluidity, multiplicity and radical trust as techniques for navigating life on the edge. BLACK MOON asks how to create space while also actively destroying it within a ritual of dark possibility.
