Workshop with Marikiscrycrycry (Malik Nashad Sharpe)

DANCEwYUNGMARIK is the S O F T revolution in your body, the femme and emotionally resonant armament necessary, the radicalised dance class that you were waiting for when you were doing barre, the kind of dance class that dismantles the lofty and conservative ideologies prevalent in contemporary dance and performance practice, instead piroritising body of colour critique, the POC-centered dance space that enacts the radical social proposition of dancing, backdropped by today's most viscious Trap and Hip-Hop beats. Purple light purple light purple light purple light purple light, stepping out of the prison of masculinity tonight. This is a workshop about celebrating you, giving form and function, elevating the party, providing methdologies and practices for otherworldly, radical body exchange. This 4 hours workshop is open to people who have some kind of movement practice, like to dance at parties, and dance trained--Queer and POC-centered individuals. Francophones are welcome but the workshop will be lead in English. REGISTRATION Places are limited and will be offered after a selection process.
