WIVES attempt a live, anti-oppressive action movie on stage.  In ACTION MOVIE, WIVES examines the mass appeal of action movies from a feminist perspective. Through performance, sculpture and video, the collective WIVES body metabolizes the violences of the action movie into pure sensation and ask the question how much power do we actually have?  WIVES examines how mediated violence quells protest. ACTION MOVIE is the discrepancy between a Hollywood action movie and what WIVES can produce.  How do you perform a movie?
