1h pour sauver le théâtre is a stage project interested in the status quo, systems of privilege, power dynamics and the porous area that allows fiction to coexist with reality. The deconstruction of privilege and the awareness of our impact on all the species we coexist with are the seeds of the solutions to all the major social and environmental problems of our time. 1h pour sauver le théâtre is both a metaphor for the ecological status quo of our societies, which, faced with its impending end, remain frozen in ecocidal practices for the sake of the economy, and a broader reflection on community. Through a work of body states, the show explores the blurred line that makes us go from an everyday repertory to something spectacular. What are the switches that make us alternate between reality and fictional space? The show suggests polysemic images that evolve throughout the performance and take us through the binarities of micro/macro, mundane/fantasy and inaction/overproduction. This slow transformation allows us to move from one reflection (and one movement) to another without distinction, just like we observe the clouds in the sky change shape unexpectedly.
